I've been meaning to start up a political blog and now a moment has presented itself. January 20th 2010 Republican Scott Brown defeated Martha Coakley, gaining a Senate seat in Massachusetts. Brown will fight against the very thing that former seat-holder Ted Kennedy created: universal health care -- the "care" that could turn open heart surgery into a 6 month waiting process.
Is Brown a sign that America has finally learned its lesson against Obamunism?
Or will his win move America in a direction that is not so focused on party lines? As he puts it: “I’m a different kind of Republican. I’ve always just wanted to go out and solve the problem, regardless of party.”
And as I have more school work to do, more on the subject matter in the next week to come.
